Home is where the heart is - Swansea Community Farm

Having a great interest in self-sufficient living, organic farming, and the education of the younger generations in ways we can help to protect our earth. One of the local non-profit organisations to me is a very important part of my life, Swansea Community Farm. The farm and it's many staff of professionals and volunteers pioneer an environment, open to the public, that demonstrates and educates on a variety of important issues, including animal welfare, organic farming, self sufficiency, recycling, forest conservation, and a whole lot more.

I have been helping out down the farm as a volunteer for some time now, and I can truly say the team involved on a daily basis, as well as the army of volunteers who assist on the farm on a weekly basis, are amongst some of the most kind hearted and committed individuals I have met. The passion and drive for not only the work they do, but the introduction of youth programs, and educational projects that they run on site and around the community is phenomenal. The project is a non-profit charity, and is purely donation and sponsorship funded, so if you are local and wish to help please get in touch.
